BIG NEWS FOR THE ROSS FAMILY AND OUR CHURCH
We love Williams Blvd Baptist Church. Words can’t begin to describe what my home church has meant to my family and I. It has been my absolute honor to serve as one of the pastors of this great church during this season of life and ministry.
In summer of 2018, the Restoration Church family announced our official adoption by Williams Blvd Baptist Church with the intention of one day replanting the church. That day has now come!
Crossroads Community Church in Kenner, LA, has voted unanimously to merge with Restoration Church to replant alongside us. With the support of Williams Blvd Baptist Church, we will begin taking the necessary steps to lay the groundwork for this new work.
We will continue gathering with Williams Blvd Baptist Church through Easter 2020. I personally couldn’t be more excited the church will be offering 2 worship opportunities this Easter Sunday 9AM & 10:45AM at 3000 Williams Blvd, Kenner.
Following Easter we’ll begin core and launch team development for this new church. In the coming weeks, we’ll reveal the new name and vision for this work. The current plan is for the church to have a soft-launch this fall and a more public launch in 2021 at 3233 Loyola Drive, Kenner.
Here’s how you can joy us as we prepare for this new and exciting season:
Pray for our passion, resources, and vision. Luke 10:2 reads, “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Funny thing about this prayer that Jesus commanded; the answer to the prayer were those willing to pray it!
We know from experience that church planting and replanting is tough work but it is worth it. We believe God has great plans for our city. Over the coming weeks, we know we’ll be encouraged by many people. We already have been! Keep it coming. I also want to encourage you, especially those sending us out, with the promise Jesus has given his people: “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).
Great work require great sacrifice. Jesus built his church to give to others and encourage one another. In the coming weeks, we will lay out ways that churches and individuals can partner in this new work through their time, talent, and treasure.
Again, it’s bittersweet to announce that we’ll soon be sent out again by my home church. We love each of you so much, but the great thing about spiritual family is it always continues as we labor aside one another for the cause of Christ and the sake of the gospel! Without you all we wouldn’t be here:
“because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” -Philippians 1:5
